My potty trained cat sometimes pees outside of his litter box. I don't know why, I took him to the vet and he doesn't have UTI or anything serious, just ear mites which I'm treating. How can I prevent his peeing outside the litter box. I believe he's acting out. This has been happening for about two weeks.

it usually means the litter box is dirty.

I have a cat that does the same thing. Just make sure the box is clean and if you catch him in the act, put him in the box.
