How do I train my cat to sleep on my bed?

Molly J asked:

i just got a 10 week old kitten yesterday and I want her to sleep in my bed with me. i figured that if you teach them while their young they will just make it a habit. some people dont like the idea of their cats on their backs or heads but i dont mind it.
how can i train her to sleep in my bed?

Quick and Easy Guide To Train Cats

Their is really no way to train a cat to do that. But i guess take it with you when your going to bed and make the cat comfortable then it will like sleeping there. And make sure your nice to the cat such as pet it alot ect. so that the cat is comfortable with you.

Cat Training Guide To Success

Cats are usually easily trainable, especially when you start training them when they’re young. Try putting her on your bed when you go to sleep for the night and she’ll probably learn pretty fast you want her to sleep with you. I have 1 that sleeps by my side, 1 that sleeps at my feet, and 1 on my pillow.

just tell her not to, works every time.

cats usually like to sleep with humans, but at 10 weeks, she probably cant jump yet, has to climb, so leave the blanket from floor to bed for her to climb. also, she has to adjust to a new house. she will find you.

Cat Training Guide To Success

Bring the little box, food, and water into your room and lock her in with you for a few nights. I did this after moving to a new house with my cat and he automatically made my bedroom his “safe place” from that point on. Be conscious of the fact that she has different moods and try to cater to those different moods. She’ll want to sleep in the most comfortable and quiet place that is available, which will most likely be your bed.

dont sleep in ur bed just let her sleep on it for atleast three days, and within these days dont freak her out during the day, let her see u, give her food, play with her and in the 4th day sleep beside her, if she ran away, let her go, she will come back, but leave the space where she used to sleep in empty :)
