Is there a good way to train kittens not to jump up on tables? Mine doesn't respond to squirts of water.?

I agree with Jobseeker. That is correct – a way to let your cat know that something is wrong, it to tap their nose and say no – as if your telling a child that what their doing is bad. And keep at it…it will take a while for your cat to understand!!!

Tap her on the nose and say "no". I read somewhere cats don’t like their noses touched, and it seemed to work for our cat when she was a kitten.

Give it one good pop each time. Not enough to consider it abuse to the pet but enough to scare it.

Another avoidance technique that works with cats is startling them in a way they don’t associate with you. Meaning, if you say "no" they may learn not to jump on the table when you’re around, but they’ll do it when you leave.

I clap my hands real loud or make another loud noise when my cats do something I don’t want them to do. That seems to work, after a while. Good luck with your kitties! :)

Try some double sided tape in the areas where the cats like to jump on. It’s not enough to hurt them, but they really don’t like the sticky tape feeling on their paws.

I’ve heard that pets don’t like the feel of aluminum foil. Perhaps laying some up there will deter them from continuing jumping up there.

i wave my hands and start walking forward until im at him and accually hitting him. He learned to get off as soon as i look at him. He still is a lovebug. He is in my lap purring right now.

Try throwing a magazine on the floor next to the table or on the table, making a loud noise when she does this. It should scare her. We only had to do this twice to keep our cat off the table. Hope it works for you too.

Try sprinkling pepper on the counter.
or…
Try putting marbles on the counter.
or…
Try putting keychains.(they don’t like the noise.)
